Soup Kitchen History

The soup kitchen at St. Thomas of Canterbury has been in operation since 1978. Founded by Catholic workers who worked with Servant of God Dorothy Day in New York, it has been in operation ever since. It has evolved with the times and the neighborhood, but its core tenants of prayer, service and fellowship remain unchanged.

Read a history of the soup kitchen here.
